PyBrain for Researchers
PyBrain started out originally as a tool for research, and that remains its core purpose. As a researcher you may want to consider using it if you don't want to bother with re-implementing algorithms, efficiency issues, or ten different libraries. PyBrain contains a lot of features you may need, and the tools (as for plotting) come with it.
Simply code your algorithm (which is no hassle in Python) and run it - on our benchmarks, or your own - and compare the performance directly to other state-of-the-art algorithms.
We then encourage you to join the Developer Group and to contribute your extensions - so that they can be distributed with the next version and shared with the community.
